Section 3:

Manufacturing, Energy, Food, IT

How did the development of manufacturing technology in the car industry in the U.S. and later Japan impact on corporations in that sector and beyond? Provide examples of corporations.

Section 4: Finance, the GFC, and the U.S. Defense Industry

Discuss: What role did American banks and finance houses have in the Global Financial Crisis? How would you assess the various solutions (tried already, but also possible) to this aspect of the crisis in reference to the U.S. financial sector? Consider the role of government in relation to these multinationals.
